what we keep
- the lecture videos you add, and the subtitles made from them
- if you sign in with google: your email, name and profile picture, so your library follows you to other devices
- one cookie that says which library is yours
what we don't do
- no ads, no tracking, no analytics
- nothing is sold or shared with anyone
- no one else can see your lectures
where it goes
your videos sit on our server. only the audio is sent to our own computer to make the subtitles, then deleted there.
the chrome extension
- it downloads the echo360 lectures you pick, using your echo360 login. it never sees your password.
- while a lecture downloads, it's kept in your browser so nothing is lost if you close the tab. it's deleted once it's in your library.
- it only talks to echo360 and locked in.
- course links you save are kept with your library.
- if a grab fails, or echo360's page looks different, it tells locked in what it saw (never your password), so it can be fixed.
deleting
the × on a lecture deletes it and its subtitles for good. anything else, including your account, is deleted on request.
